NEW: AMP Musicians Directory

I want to introduce you to an online tool to promote yourself as a working musician.  My company, Anahata Music Project LLC, or "AMP," is compiling a directory of all types of musicians' profiles for the purpose of networking, hiring, and collaborating around central Ohio.  The directory will consist of musicians'  contact information, areas of expertise, photos and links to recordings.

The AMP Musicians Directory will be a centralized directory of musicians.  That is, it will not be affiliated with any particular performing groups, educational institutions or studios.  It will also contain entries from businesses and service providers that cater to musicians' needs (such as photographers, recording engineers, doctors, yoga studios, tailors, dance instructors, etc).

So, how would this directory be used?
  • Church music directors will find extra musicians to hire for services and large oratorio works;
  • Musicians will find church music directors who are looking to hire;
  • Students will be able to search for music teachers;
  • Vocal musicians will be able to find instrumentalists to collaborate on chamber works;
  • Substitute musicians for church jobs can be found easily and quickly.
  • Musicians will be able to find body work specialists (massage, Reiki, etc) who like working with musicians, and may offer discounts or incentives to AMP members.

Why do I need this?

  • If you don't have a website of your own, this can give you an online "presence" in a well-trafficked website.  You will have password-protected access, so you can change your page information at any time.
  • Your visibility will be elevated, as you become part of the vibrant, online community of musicians.  Both the public, and your music colleagues will be able to find you quickly and easily.
  • You will be able to search for not only other musicians, but other professionals to meet your needs, all in one place.
  • Memberships will be significantly less expensive than regular website and domain subscriptions.

Where is the directory, now?

In development.  I am currently working with a fine website developer.  Access to the online directory -- in fall 2017 -- will be membership-based, at an affordable rate.  I say "affordable," because this company sincerely aims to help you; not take advantage of you.

What do I need to do, next?
